Planning that trip to Costa Rica? I bet you are. Perhaps you are looking up all of the fun beaches, places to stay and activities to do while you are here.
There is a great many things to do in our wonderful country. There really is no end to all of it. Here’s another thought…while you prepare for that trip, prepare by also learning some fun, sometimes weird and certainly strange, facts about the land and people you will be visiting.
For example, did you know that the people of Costa Rica love their coffee? Well, I’m sure that’s really no surprise at all. What’s so strange about that? Many people love coffee.
Well, this is a bit different, because the wonderful people love their coffee so much that even their kids drink it, and yes…even the babies. Now that is some love!
Also, don’t be surprised if you are approached by Costa Ricans carrying machetes. No, you are not in some sort of horror movie. And your life is not under threat. This common, multi-purpose tool is a common and much needed instrument commonly carried on the hip of many a people. So don’t be afraid if you see someone approaching with one on them.
