Here’s a thought. Rather than come to Costa Rica and stay in the one luxury resort, why not backpack your way through the country? This is a great way of seeing and experiencing Costa Rica in a uniquely satisfying and personal way. The resort is great, and has a lot of amenities to enjoy. However, backpacking affords you the opportunity to see and hear the country in a fashion you simply will not get unless you back pack throughout the area.
