During the loll of summer, Vamos Rent-A-Car pushed forward with their second Photo Contest for Costa Rica — showcasing fun in this wonderful country.

The economy and people’s vacations seemed to slow the activity on Facebook compared to what Vamos had earlier in the year experienced with the exact same contest.  Perhaps the novelty worn off.  😉

Nevertheless, there were 3 Finalists with completely different shots of Costa Rica — which was good.  It certainly beats having 7 photos of the same volcano view!  🙂

It is always enjoyable to be a part of the contestants’ excitement and discussions over wrangling votes for their photos.

The first contest granted free car rentals to the top five winners, while this second contest extends a deluxe, 8 day/7 night hotel & resort prize package!  Although we at Vamos thought our fans would enjoy this larger prize even more — especially since its valued over $1800 — we may have strayed off course and we may not have been offering exactly what our fans come to Vamos for in the first place — car rentals of course!  😉

So with this lesson learned, we are gearing up for a sweepstakes this time — with no barrier to enter the contest and everyone who stops by the Vamos’ fan page may participate.  No photo to submit — unless you want to — and it would take very little time to enter — just your contact info, so we can notify you when you win!

The hardest part is figuring exact *what* prize to offer for the contests.  Whether it should be a free car rental for the day, a discount coupon, or some expensive upgrade.  We simply do not know.
