Although this week’s hype is all about getting marrying with Cinderella Castle as your backdrop (at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida), more and more couples are ditching American weddings for a tropical dream destination nuptial in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica’s infrastructure is set up for easy ground transfers for guests from Liberia’s International Airport (LIR) to nearby all-inclusive (AI) hotels on the Guanacaste Coast; some of which even have wedding planners on staff.
Car rental agencies will often offer special discounted rates for group bookings, thus saving brides and grooms on their wedding parties.
Destination weddings are usually substantially cheaper than holding the big day at home, even with the cost of flights and accommodation. Your fairy tale Disney wedding would cost a minimum of $75,000 with fireworks and a carriage ride upping the expense.
