I was met at the airport that had my name, and compared to the other handwritten signs that I saw, mine was typed so easy to read, and also gave a very professional feeling so that was very nice. Its something little but I noticed it...
We were taken to the office and got our beautiful SUV. It was in great condition, and Mauricio gave us the rundown and he was so nice and helpful. He advised of the insurance options, but I used my credit card insurance and had to buy the mandatory insurance (required by all car rental agencies).
The GPS that we were give was invaluable too... Costa Rica doesn't have street address so trying to find stuff would have otherwise been impossible. Even Google maps couldn't find some locations\routes within CR.
Needless to say, the vehicle was great. We got a AWD and drove both the Cano Negro roads and also to Monteverde. No problems with either road, and the SUV was very comfortable. Anyways, we drove about 1200km and then when returning the car, a block from our end point, we got in a car accident. Luckily no one was injured, but that added a whole pile of stress.
I called Carlos and he was so great. He advised what to do next, and I felt very taken care of. Car was still drivable so after all that was dealt with, we drove the block to our hotel and parked the car. Mauricio came and collected the car and took the paperwork for the insurance that the police and adjuster provided. Needless to say, I was stressing about this, but Mauricio calmed me down too.
I came home and within a few days, Juan the manager already had all the paperwork submitted directly to my credit card insurance company, so I didn't have to do anything.
I am so very impressed with everyone at this company. They made my vacation so enjoyable, and their country is so lovely, I will for sure be returning. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that asked! Thanks so much for everything!!!
