Driving from Guanacaste Airport to Flamingo Beach takes about an hour. The route is available on Waze. At night, it is best to use the fully paved Route 21 and Route 155 through Huacas. During the day, the Route 911 Monkey Trail offers a faster option, involving two river crossings. These rivers can be circumvented by entering The Congo Trail Property, which operates daily from 8 AM to 5 PM.
By Bus
Buses from Liberia to Flamingo operate daily at 4:30 AM, 6 AM, 8 AM, 11 AM, and 6 PM via Transportes La Pampa from the main bus station, taking around 2.5 hours. From San Jose, Empresa Tralapa offers daily buses at 8 AM, 10:45 AM, and 4 PM from Calle 20, Ave 1-3, with a travel duration of approximately 6 hours.
By Shuttle
Both shared and private shuttle services are available. A private shuttle from Liberia Airport to Flamingo costs $80-90 USD for 1-4 passengers one way, while a shared shuttle from San Jose with Interbus is priced at $59 USD per adult.
